Embassy of Japan signed grant agreement on culture Kusanone

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- The Embassy of Japan in Moldova on Wednesday signed a grant contract to implement the project for improving the Japanese language education process at the Foundation for Moldova-Japanes Relations, amounting to 75,721 dollars, funded under the Kusanone Culture Grants Program.

The contract was signed by Japanese Ambassador to Chisinau Masanobu Yoshii and Head of the above-mentioned foundation Valeriu Bânzaru. Attending the event were Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research Natalia Grâu, representatives of the central and local public administration and the State University of Moldova.

Masanobu Yoshii said that through this grant, the institution will be able to acquire modern technology for studying Japanese language and culture, classroom furniture and works to improve the ventilation and heating system in the Foundation's classrooms.

According to the diplomat, since 2016 he is in Moldova, he has signed 27 Kusanone project contracts for hospitals, schools and kindergartens to improve the conditions of Moldovan citizens, and in culture and sports.

For their part, Natalia Grau and Valeriu Bânzaru thanked the Japanese government and Masanobu Ioshii for their support in strengthening the education system in the Republic of Moldova.

The Foundation for Moldovan-Japanese Relations was set up in 2002. Currently, 124 pupils are learning Japanese language.
