Moldovan military musicians participate in international festival in Germany

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - Instrumentalists from Moldova’s Presidential Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Moldova Motorized Infantry Brigade from Balti on 18-25 February participate in the Musikparade-2020 International Festival of Military Music, held in Germany.

According to the Defence Ministry’s press service, on the concerned period, Moldovan musicians, accompanied by a group of dancers, give live concerts in five German cities: Erfurt, Dresden, Magdeburg, Cottbus and Berlin, performing along with their colleagues from other participating countries.

The repertoire of the band of instrumentalists comprises light music songs, classical music works, songs from the Moldovan folklore, as well as folk dances, presented by young people of the Chisinau-based National Choreography College.

The military orchestras of the National Army have been taking part in the Musikparade festivals since 2015.

So far, Moldovan musicians have performed at festivals from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
