Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - All people who arrive in Beijing from abroad will placed in quarantine for 14 days, the mayoralty of this city informed today, given that the number of coronavirus cases increases in the Chinese capital, according to AFP, quoted by Agerpres and MOLDPRES.
Besides the people arriving from countries seriously hit by the virus, who are already subjected to quarantine, any passenger coming from any foreign country will be now ‘’placed under supervision at home or in a place provided for on this purpose,’’ Beijing city hall’s decision-makers said.
The Chinese capital’s city hall already obliges the people who arrive from certain countries, which are seriously hit by the epidemic, such as South Korea, Iran, Italy and Japan – to be placed in quarantine.
Nevertheless, given that more and more countries are hit by the COVID-19 epidemic, the Beijing city hall had to boost the caution measures.
Today, the city hall of the Chinese capital reported six new contaminations in five people who returned from Italy and one coming from the United States.
China, where Covid-19 appeared in late last year, so far has recorded 3,158 deaths, out of a total number of more than 4,000 deaths registered all over the world on 10 March.
The overall number of contaminations now stands at 80,778 in China, out of over 107,000 in the world.
