Shows countermanded in theatre, concert institutions of Moldova

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The shows which were to take place at the Moldovan theatre and concert institutions during March 2020 have been countermanded.
Under a decision by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry from 10 March, in accordance with the Decision No6/2020 by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission on the evolution of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 infection, the organization and holding of mass manifestations/measures/meetings, with the participation of a larger number of 50 people, are banned in Moldova’s culture institutions (theatre, concert institutions, museums, libraries, community homes, creation centres) till 1 April 2020.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director general of the Moldova-Concert Concert and Impresario Organization, Andrei Locoman, has said that all concerts scheduled for March were re-scheduled for next May.
For her part, the director of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Svetlana Bivol, said that the tickets bought for the shows held in March can be returned or preserved till the day when they are to take place.
Under the order by the competent ministry, the information on the cancellation of the manifestations/measures/meetings is to be placed on the official page of the concerned institutions.
