Contemporary fine art exhibitions suspended in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan Fine Artists Union (UAP) has ceased the staging of contemporary fine arts exhibitions earlier announced, in accordance with the Decision No 6 from 10 March of the national extraordinary public health commission on the evolution of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 infection.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the UAP head, Dumitru Bolboceanu, said that the institution was announcing ‘’the ceasing only of the inauguration for the exhibitions scheduled for the period 19 March – 5 April and 26 March – 5 April 2020 at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre. Nevertheless, the exhibitions planned will be opened, yet without public,’’ Bolboceanu said.
According to Dumitru Bolboceanu, the institution’s internal administrative activity will be carried out, in continuation, according to the normal working programme. At the same time, all needed measures will be taken as to ensuring the maximal hygiene at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Centre, creation workshops, as well as at the central headquarters, by supply with disinfectant substances recommended to this end.
These provisions can be amended, depending on the epidemiological situation and measures taken by the authorities nationally.
