More trade units from south Moldova city to ensure supply of goods at home

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - More commercial units from the southern Cahul municipality today informed that they would serve clients at home and would supply purchased goods home for free, according to requests made at by phone or online.

This type of service is introduced in accordance with a government’s decision to cease the work of all trade units, except for the drug stores, food stores and fuel supply stations, given the measures for preventing the spread of the new-type coronavirus COVID-19.

The announcements of traders from Cahul were made on webpages of companies from social networks. The traders said, for the time being, the delivery services would be operational till 31 March.

Among the services provided, there is the supply at home of dishes cooked, food products, as well as construction materials, household appliances, more industrial articles, clothes, other products which can be necessary in the quarantine regime.

„Dear friends, given the general quarantine, we switch to the way of online sales with free of charge delivery in the entire southern region of Moldova,’’ reads a publication of an economic agent from Cahul, quoted by the website www.ziuadeazi.md.

A person infected with COVID-19 was registered in the Cahul district. Yet, Cahul mayor Nicolae Dandis called on the city’s residents to be calm and gave assurances that the situation was under control.
