Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/- One hundred and fifty families with children at risk from the districts of Cantemir, Calarasi, Causeni, Falesti, Nisporeni, Orhei, Soroca, Sangerei, Telenesti and Stefan Voda benefit from food and personal hygiene packages as a result of the situation created by the pandemic. The donation worth ten thousand euros is sent to the families by the Public Association Partnerships for Every Child (PPFC) with the financial support of the Siol Foundation of Ireland.
According to PPFC director Daniela Mămăligă, "this aid is offered in the context of the social effects already felt in the Republic of Moldova as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to support affected families and ensure the welfare of children."
The donation was made possible thanks to the grant worth 50 thousand euros for the Moldovan government by the Siol Foundation of Ireland in late March. Of the total amount of the grant, medical and protective equipment was purchased for many medical institutions in the country, amounting to 35 thousand euros.
