Automated sensors of monitoring underground waters to be set in Moldovan settlements

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Automated sensors for the monitoring of underground waters will be set in more settlements of Moldova. The works will be carried out due to the project on the strengthening of the institutional framework in the sector of water supply and sanitation in Moldova, financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Austrian Development Agency.  

It is about 63 automated sensors for monitoring underground waters, which will enhance the efficiency of the analysis of underground waters in Moldova through delivery of complex data, which will complete the present network.   

The sensors will be set in the districts of Ocnita, Donduseni, Soroca, Floresti Sangerei, Rascani, Soldanesti, Floresti, Telenesti, Orhei, Straseni, Ialoveni, Calarasi, Criuleni, Stefan Voda, Anenii Noi, as well as in the Chisinau municipality.

In October-November 2019, specialists of the state enterprise, Hydrological Expedition from Moldova, jointly with the employees of the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, participated in a training programme for the use of instruments of monitoring the underground waters. Within the programme, participants were presented working ways with instruments of monitoring underground waters purchased, setting and maintenance of sensors, removing the  deficiencies, collection and exporting of data, calibration of sensors, including the use of software for programming sensors.       

The participants in the trainings hold certificates which show the completion of the training course and the right to operate the equipment bought.
