Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Soroca district hospital will benefit from financial support on behalf of the Visegrad Fund in the fight against the new-type coronavirus COVID-19.
„The Visegrad Fund, set up by the governments of the Visegrad Group (V4) states, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, ruled to provide Moldova with financial assistance worth 25,000 euros, which will be used for backing the Soroca district hospital,’’ according to a press release by the Embassy of Slovakia in Chisinau.
The communiqué reads that the assistance will enhance the sanitary capacities of this medical institution through purchasing equipments for separate sanitary sections, which will allow isolating patients with suspicions of or confirmed infectious diseases temporarily or for a longer period.
The Soroca district is one of the worst hit settlements by COVID-19 of Moldova. A number of 483 infection cases, 14 deaths, 290 recovery cases, as well as 397 people under supervision are confirmed in the Soroca district at present.
