Civil society in Moldova can participate in regional program supported by EU

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/- Civil society actors - promoters of change in the countries of the South Caucasus and the Republic of Moldova is slogan of a regional project, implemented by the Czech non-governmental organization People in Need and funded by the European Union. The deadline for applications for the project is 1 July 2020.

The project aims to support selected civic groups to form their own vision for change, to plan concrete steps to achieve it, to develop skills and access to the necessary resources to get from the plan to something real.

The program can be attended by civil society organizations (registered in the last three years), informal civic initiative groups or social movements, which try to mobilize people in communities to influence real positive change, to raise awareness of important issues that may be misunderstood.

In the first year of the project, People in Need aims to select seven participants from the Republic of Moldova. They may be active in specified areas, but not limited to: Community participation in decision-making; quality of public services; climate and environmental change; gender equality; public spaces; labor rights and working conditions; other social / civic / human rights issues or measures to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in these sectors.

For all those interested in participating in the program, an information session will be organized on June 19.

People in Need is a Czech NGO that provides support and assistance for development and humanitarian aid in over 20 countries around the world. Since 2000, the organization has implemented in our country several programs of social interest, and since 2003 it is present in the Transnistrian region.
