Exhibition by MOLDPRES photographer to be staged on Chisinau Dedication Day

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - The MOLDPRES State News Agency Public Institution, in partnership with the Chisinau city hall, will organize the inauguration of a topic-related exhibition of photos, titled, The heroes of our days. We help them, so that can help us, by a master photographer, Mihai Vengher. The pictures show medical employees working in COVID-19 sections.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Mihai Vengher said that the exhibition comprised 150 photos. ‘’The photographs were made at the Gheorghe Paladi, Saint Archangel Michael municipal clinical hospitals, hospital of contagious diseases for children, as well as the COVID-19 Centre from the MOLDPEXPO International Exhibition Centre, Republican Clinical Hospital, and Emergency Medicine Institute in last June-July. The pictures immortalized medical employees involved in the activity of providing medical assistance to patients infected with COVID-19,’’ Mihai Vengher said. ‘’The photos will be placed on panels for newspapers from the Park of the Birth of God Cathedral, adjacent to the Pushkin Street,’’ he noted.
Mihai Vengher was born in the Colicauti village, northern Briceni district, on 2 December 1962. In 1989, he graduated from the Journalism Faculty of Moldova’s State University. Starting from the same year, he was employed at the MOLDPRES State News Agency. Vengher is author of numerous photographs included in the album of unique value, Parlamentul Independenței (The Parliament of Independence). During the Transnistria War, he was always on battlefield with his camera. The pictures taken by the photographer on that period were published in the national and international media, in the book Transnistria în flăcări (Transnistria in flames) by Gheorghe Budeanu and Râul de sânge (The blood river) by Valentina Ursu. Mihai Vengher is member of the Union of Art Photographers and Fine Artists Union of Moldova. In 2016, under presidential decree, Mihai Vengher was awarded the Maestru în Artă (Master in Art) honorific title ‘’for long and prodigious work in mass media, contribution to the development of the photographic art and high artistic mastership.’’
