Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/- The Bureau for Reintegration considers it inadmissible to oblige students from the Transnistrian region studying on the right bank of the Dniester to present the results of self-diagnosis tests for Covid-19 to cross the administrative line, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
This practice creates additional financial pressures on the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, establishes new artificial barriers to free movement and hinders the realization of the inalienable right to education, set out in a request sent by the chief negotiator on the Transnistrian settlement from Chisinau to the political representative of Tiraspol.
Chisinau's message requested to remove as soon as possible the impediments to the unhindered movement of students and pupils, given that in the second decade of December this year the winter session will begin in universities.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova has ordered all necessary measures for the proper training of teachers, pupils and students, prevention and exclusion of risks of spreading infections in educational institutions, and through the decisions of the National Commission of Public Health, rules have been set up in accordance with the WHO requirements for compliance with the sanitary-epidemiological requirements and for the individual protection of citizens, ensuring a permanent monitoring by the competent law enforcement bodies.
At the same time, we urge the studious youth on both banks of the Dniester to be permanently informed about the recommendations and norms approved and brought to the public's attention by the WHO, the National Public Health Commission, the national authorities and to ensure responsible compliance with safety requirements for the protection of individual and public health.
