Moldovan PM has phone conversation with Russian counterpart

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin. The officials referred to the progress made on the bilateral agenda and opportunities of development and strengthening of the Moldovan-Russian relations in various sectors of mutual interest, the government’s communication and protocol relations department has reported.
Ion Chicu thanked his counterpart for the providing of non-refundable financial assistance worth 275 million Russian roubles, offered by the Russian government to Moldovan farmers hit by the natural calamities. The officials also discussed the humanitarian assistance of Russia on the period of the pandemic, as well as the consignment of anti-flu vaccine delivered to Moldova.
The PMs voiced mutual interest in fostering the commercial relations which regard the cooperation between the two states. The sides stressed the importance of re-establishing the volume of Moldovan-Russian trade exchanges with the supply of Moldovan products to the Russian market.
The officials exchanged opinions on a meeting of the Eurasian inter-governmental council, due to be held online this week.
