Moldovan foreign affairs minister has phone conversation with Austrian counterpart

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today had a phone conversation with Austria’s Federal Minister of European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg. The two officials reviewed the stage of bilateral relations and expressed appreciation for the present level of the Moldovan-Austrian cooperation and the potential of its development.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, Aureliu Ciocoi and Alexander Schallenberg agreed on making sustained efforts on the next period between the both countries foreign affairs ministries, for strengthening the dynamic of the bilateral and sectoral contacts.
The Moldovan diplomacy head thanked Minister Alexander Schallenberg for the substantial technical and financial assistance provided by Austria to Moldova in priority fields for the country, including in the context of counteracting the consequences of COVID-19. The officials highlighted the beneficial impact of the assistance projects carried out through the Austrian Development Agency.
The officials referred also to a string of priority subjects, such as the current developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement and the need to consolidate the cooperation within the regional and international organizations.
