Kazakhstan to have embassy in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today received the general consul of Kazakhstan in Moldova, Yerlan Mukashev, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The Kazakh diplomat informed the Moldovan diplomacy head about the Kazakh authorities’ decision to advance the status of the Chisinau-based General Consulate of Kazakhstan to the one of Embassy till the end of this year.
Foreign Affairs Minister Aureliu Ciocoi welcomed this decision. He voiced confidence that, in the spirit of the good bilateral relations, the work of the Kazakh diplomatic mission in Chisinau would significantly contribute to the continuous promotion and development of the relations between the two states in the political, commercial, economic, as well as cultural sectors.
In the context, the sides exchanged opinions on ways of boosting the mutually advantageous cooperation. The officials proposed to organize in the videoconference format, in the near future, inter-ministerial Moldovan-Kazakh political consultations between the foreign affairs ministries at the level of states secretary/deputy minister. The diplomats also considered possibility to summon the next meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh inter-governmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation.
