Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/- The draft law amending certain laws related to the budgetary-fiscal and customs policy for 2021 was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.
Under the document, given the specifics of 2020 caused by the existing epidemiological situation at national and international level and natural disasters in the agricultural sector, few adjustments of public policies of budgetary-fiscal nature were set up. As a result of this situation, most measures are aimed at supporting several economic areas affected by the current year's pandemic and severe drought.
The draft includes measures to reduce the fiscal pressure and new subsidy mechanisms to support economic recovery.
Most proposals set in the project are related to the business environment.
Moreover the draft law comprises proposals meant to strengthen the financial and decision-making autonomy of local authorities by: canceling the 15% reduction on the payment of real estate tax; granting the right to local authorities in rural localities to establish independently within the limits from 0.05% to 0.4% of the real estate tax rate; granting the powers to establish special local fees for the provision of local public services, other than those provided by the Tax Code, in the amount and manner set by local public authorities.
The bill also provides for wage policy measures proposed for 2021, in particular to increase gain for medical staff by 30%.
