Moldovan parliament adopt two draft laws meant to improve residents' access to medicines

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs, at a today’s plenary meeting, voted for two draft laws aimed at improving the residents’ access to medicines.
Thus, the lawmakers made amendments to the law on medicines and the law on the pharmaceutical activity. The amendments have the goal to introduce the compulsoriness for the decision-makers to regulate and monitor the price of medicines beginning with the producer price, warehouse price and the one in drug stores. Also, the document sees introduction of the electronic network, meant to complete the initiative to have a global vision on the healthcare services provided to the insured patients from the healthcare system.
Another draft voted in the first reading today provides for the amendment of the law on pharmaceutical activity, law on evaluation and accreditation in health and the law on domestic trade, which regulates the pharmaceutical commerce though mobile units. The authorities said that this draft was important, especially for the residents who have no physical access to drug stores.
