Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Ambassador of China

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi on 4 December received Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong. The officials discussed the boosting of the bilateral relations and identifying new opportunities of cooperation in sectoral fields, as well as strengthening the bilateral legal framework, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The sides reviewed the political dialogue, stressing the importance to maintain the high-level contacts, foster the commercial and economic exchanges and hold the next round of negotiations on the free trade agreement. In the context, Minister Aureliu Ciocoi noted that the economic and investment dimension in the bilateral dialogue would significantly contribute to a qualitative advancement of the bilateral relations.

At the same time, the Moldovan official offered thanks to the Beijing authorities for the technical and humanitarian assistance provided to Moldova, including for the generous assistance to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sides also exchanged opinions on the multilateral cooperation, within the United Nations elective bodies, in particular, through establishing bilateral arrangements on mutual support.
