As many as 1,728 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,932 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,728 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import ones. As many as 115,557 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 106 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 33, medical assistants –49, auxiliary staff employees – 24.

A number of 3,725 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 269 are in extremely serious condition (54 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,088 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 30,283 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,330 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 99,606 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,403 people dead because of the virus till present. The virus killed also a 71-year-old physician, who worked at the Clinical Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedy. Fifty seven medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
