Hospitals in Chisinau have only 60 beds to treat patients with COVID-19

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- The capacity of the municipal hospitals for COVID-19 patients is coming to an end.
The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of Chisinau, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today that there are only 60 beds in municipal hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients.
At the same time, the official said that the state of emergency in health continues and the trend of increasing the number of diseases is high. "I urge people to respect the coronavirus protection measures. All the intensive care beds are full", said Bucearschi.
She said that medical staff is at the limit of physical and psychological abilities and that since the beginning of the pandemic, 29 doctors working in hospitals in Chisinau have died.
