Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- Today, Prime Minister Ion Chicu participated in the traditional working meeting with President Igor Dodon and Speaker Zinaida Greceanii. The country's leadership has examined the agenda for this week, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier pointed out the importance of focusing the cabinet and parliament on considering the four budget-fiscal projects, so that the country can function properly and there are no delays in paying social payments.
"The government comes with an appeal to MPs to focus on those four projects and to elaborate the necessary amendments that we will examine and approve in a cabinet meeting next week. Subsequently, we will submit the approval on these amendments to the parliament in the hope that next week the parliament will debate or even approve these important projects: budgetary-fiscal and customs policy, state budget, budget of compulsory health insurance funds (FAOAM) and budget social security ", he said.
Chicu said despite that some politicians entered the election campaign for the early parliamentary elections immediately after 15 November the cabinet has the major role to ensure the country's budgetary security.
"The government has a moral duty to society to promote fiscal budget laws, otherwise the country starting with February will have major deficiencies in paying salaries and pensions. We urge the politicians to show major responsibility towards Moldovan citizens", Chicu said.
