Chisinau municipality might have community police

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - Financial resources will be provided for in the Chisinau municipality’s budget for the community police.   

At a today’s online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, demanded that the financing department provides for needed financial resources for the work of the community police in the budget for the next year. The mayor noted that ‘’the Chisinau municipality must have community police’’, stressing that he would prepare the older project on the creation of this structure.      

According to the official, the infringements registered in the city are ‘’inadmissible’’ and the proper order can be made in the city only through a municipal body for supervising the public order. ‘’It is inadmissible what is happening in the city in all terms: illegal parking, throwing trash down, vandalizing municipal assets, illegal trade. I will insist for everyone to be responsible for his/her actions, including through fines. Otherwise, we will not have order,’’ Ceban said.

At the same time, the Chisinau mayor informed that the municipal administration, along with the police, would organize raids to pubs from the capital, in order to sanctions those who will organize New Year parties.
