Moldovan government approves regulation on flights of civil airships

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government, at a today’s meeting, approved the regulation on the authorization of flights and use of the national air space by the civil and state airships, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The authorization procedure was established while taking into account the enforcement of a non-discriminatory treatment between national and international air operators as regards the procedure of flights’ authorization in the national air space.  

Also, decision-makers took into consideration the similar procedures enforced in other European states, simplification of the rules of access to the national air space, so that they are accessible to all users and easy to be observed, with positive consequences on the flight’s safety. Also, decision-makers took into account aspects concerning the tightening of the security of the national air space.    

Under the procedure established, any flight in the national air space is regarded as authorized, if a flight plan for it was submitted to an authorized air traffic unit, i.e. the state enterprise MoldATSA.

The Regulation contains the way of authorization of regular and non-regular commercial flights and, respectively, the release of authorizations for regular and non-regular flights for the national or international air operators, corresponding to the international practice, being inspired from European states.
