Moldovan, Hungarian officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi met today with Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó, on a working visit to Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.
The officials welcomed the advanced level of bilateral dialogue in the spirit of the Strategic Partnership between the two states, illustrated by an intense agenda of high-level meetings, including a high frequency of dialogue on the foreign ministries of both countries.
Aureliu Ciocoi and Péter Szijjártó also focused on ways to turn to good account the Moldovan-Hungarian partnership, organisation of high-level visits to both capitals, deepening sectoral cooperation in education, research and boosting trade and economic exchanges.
In this context, they agreed to join efforts to use the credit line worth about 100 million US dollars within Eximbank Hungary, intended for economic agents from both countries who want to develop partnerships.
At the same time, they exchanged views on the latest developments in the implementation of the Association Agreement between Moldova - European Union and collaboration within the Eastern Partnership.
Ciocoi thanked the Hungarian government for the strong support for Moldova's European integration, solidarity shown and generous assistance in efforts to implement the reforms and fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The talks of the two ministers were related to the exchange of views on regional, European and international developments of interest to both states, as well as mutual cooperation at multilateral level.
